Year 2008 Ending Serp results for Hummerbie

December 26, 2008 · Leave a Comment

I august I did my first check on the term “Hummerbie”  in Google, you can read the results on Hummerbie on Google Serps.

Today I wanted to see how the results evolved to the Year 2008 ending… so here are the results.

  1. Hummerbie.com
  2. Design Cars
  3. Hummerbie on Google pages
  4. Hummerbie.nl
  5. Hummerbie.net
  6. Blog.hummerbie.com
  7. Twitter Hummerbie
  8. Hummerbie.jaiku.com
  9. Blogcatalog user Hummerbie
  10. Flicker account Hummerbie
  11. Hummerbie extensions review on Joomla -> result in a 404
  12. Hummerbie’s Stumbleupon websites
  13. Technoratie user page from Hummerbie
  14. Hummerbie about page on Blog
  15. Hummerbie on Tumblr.com
  16. Twitterholic Hummerbie
  17. Hummerbie on last.fm
  18. Statcounter Forum user Hummerbie
  19. Yahoo Hummerbie profile
  20. Hummerbie Twitter post

So what has happend in the last months?

You can clearly see that updating and working on my sites and Blog payed off.
In August there where  a fewer real Hummerbie domains, as there are now.
Also changing the hummerbie.blogspot .com to www.hummerbie.net workt as well af course with some blogging to support that.

Funny thing is that the social networking sites also have some highter rankings.
The blog  hummerbie.wordpress.com has drop down to 21, and thus not shown on these results pages.

If you look at the results of www.google.nl, you can clearly see that those are geotargetted since there are different results in favour of Ducht websites.

Conclusion here can only be that a good domain name works fine and that regular updates for your website or blog also turns out to have a large influence on the Serach Engine results pages of Google.
But I am now going to work on my links and information on the Google pages…because that page comes in Third? and there is practicly now information on it!

Is Google favouring its own hosted pages? That would main that I can really gain some more links for by sites by pointing to them from my Googlepage!
So that will be a great thing to test in 2009  :-)

But I said I would do it, and I will make it happen.

But boy, do I need a Book on this one.
But, If you want to check-out the site is on Network Documentation and Monitoring for SME IT Managers

The SEO 4 Series

March 31, 2007 · Leave a Comment

I have decided to write a serie of WordPress Blogs about Search Engine Optimization for my three favorite Content Management Systems.

http://seo4joomla.wordpress.com

http://seo4drupal.wordpress.com

http://seo4wordpress.wordpress.com

The First one has allready a lot of information on how to make Joomla Search Engine ready.

The Drupal I am writing as I am learning on how to get my own Drupal webiste ready for optimal results

The last one I am already working on my own blog in Dutch called http://wordpress.itmentor.nl so that information is going to be translated into English on the WordPress.com based blog.

Why these series? Because I like to help people, and build some authority on Search Engine Optimization as well.

March 13, 2007 · Leave a Comment

I wanted to, but I didn’t want to read a lot of Books..

But I learned some key lessons from a Tutorial website where you just sit behind your Online connected computer and watch some fine Video like informational instructions..

Well..  kind of like wachting Television, you know Discovery, National Geographic, BBC , Paris Hilton on Viral Marketing…. things like that.

Maybe that is why its called Tubetorial ?

These are my favorites 7-essential-wordpress-hacks

And if you are done with that, go check out www.copyblogger.com! and make sure you get his RSS Feed!
